Every Starting Quarterback for the 2025 NFL Season

The 2025 NFL season is almost underway and all eyes are on the league’s quarterbacks. They are a diverse mix of seasoned veterans and promising young talents. Arizona Cardinals

This will by Murray’s 7th season in the NFL. He has spent his whole time with the Arizona Cardinals.

Atlanta Falcons

Michael Penix, Jr.

This will be Penix’s 2nd season in the NFL after being drafted by the Falcons in 2024.

Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson

This will be Jackson’s 8th season in the NFL. He has spent his entire career with the Ravens.

Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen

This will be Allen’s 8th season. He has spent his whole time in the NFL with Buffalo.

This will be Young’s 3rd season in the NFL.

Chicago Bears

This will be Williams’ 2nd season in the NFL after being drafted by the Bears in 2024.

Cincinnati Bengals

Joe Burrow

This will be Burrow’s 6th season in the NFL with the Bengals.

Cleveland Browns

Joe Flacco

This will be Flacco’s 18th season in the NFL. He is the 2nd oldest active quarterback. He spent the majority of his career at Baltimore until the 2019 season. Since then he has bounced around between the Broncos, Jets, Colts, and Browns.

Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott

This will be Prescott’s 10th NFL season. He is currently the longest active member of the Cowboys, as well as the highest paid player in the league (an average of $60 million/year).

Denver Broncos

Bo Nix

This will be Nix’s 2nd season in the NFL after being drafted by the Broncos in 2024.

Detroit Lions

Jared Goff

This will be Goff’s 10th season in the NFL. From 2016-2020, he was with the Rams until he was traded to Detroit in 2021.

Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love

This will be Love’s 5th NFL season with Green Bay.

Houston Texans

C.J. Stroud

This will be Stroud’s 3rd NFL season after being drafted by Houston in 2023.

Indianapolis Colts

Daniel Jones

This will be Jones’s 7th NFL season but his first with Indianapolis after previously spending six seasons with the Giants.

This will be Lawrence’s 5th season in the NFL with Jacksonville.

Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes

This is Mahomes’s 9th NFL season. He has spent his entire professional career with Kansas City.

Las Vegas Raiders

Geno Smith

This will be Smith’s 13th season in the NFL. He had long stints at both the Jets (2013-16) and the Seahawks (2019-24). He played single seasons with the Giants and the Chargers. This is his first season with Las Vegas.

Los Angeles Chargers

Justin Herbert

This will be Herbert’s 6th season with the Chargers.

Los Angeles Rams

Matthew Stafford 

This will be Stafford’s 17th NFL season. He is returning for his 5th season with the Rams. Before that, he was at Detroit for 12 seasons.

Miami Dolphins

This will be Tagovailoa’s 6th season in the NFL and with Miami.

Minnesota Vikings

J.J. McCarthy

This will be McCarthy’s 2nd season after being drafted by the Vikings in 2024. He did not play last year due to a torn meniscus in his right knee.

New England Patriots

Drake Maye

This will be Maye’s 2nd season with the Patriots after being drafted by them in 2024.

New Orleans Saints

Spencer Rattler

This will be Rattler’s 2nd season after being drafted by the Saints in 2024.

New York Giants

Russell Wilson

This will be Wilson’s 14th season in the NFL. He spent the bulk of his pro career at Seattle (2012-20). He then had a couple of years at Denver, before landing in Pittsburgh last year. This year will be his first with the Giants.

New York Jets

Justin Fields

This will be Fields’s 5th NFL season. For his first 3 year he was at Chicago, and then he traded QB duties with Russell Wilson at Pittsburgh last year. Ths year will be his first of a 2-year contract with the Jets.

Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts

This will be Hurts’s 6th NFL season. He has spent his entire career at Philadelphia.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Aaron Rodgers

Rodgers is the oldest active QB in the NFL. He will turn 42 at the end of the year. This year will be his 21st season in the NFL. He, famously, spent the majority of his career at Green Bay (2005-22). After a couple of dissapointing seasons with the Jets, Rodgers finds himself with the Steelers for 2025.

San Francisco 49ers

Brock Purdy

This will be Purdy’s 4th season in the NFL, all of them with the 49ers.

Seattle Seahawks

Sam Darnold

This will be Darnold’s 8th season in the NFL. He was drafted by, and spent the first 3 years of his career at the Jets. He moved to Carolina in 2021 for 2 seasons. He then spent single seasons with San Francisco and Minnesota. This is his first season with Seattle.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield

This will be Mayfield’s 8th season in the NFL. He initially spent 4 years in Cleveland before being traded to Carolina and the Rams. This will be his 3rd season with the Buccaneers.

Tennessee Titans

Cam Ward

This is Ward’s rookie season after being the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Washington Commanders

Jayden Daniels

This will be Daniels’s 2nd season in the NFL after a stellar rookie season with the Commanders last year.
