What is ALOT Home?
ALOT Home is a home page created to give you the information you want at your fingertips. ALOT creates special interest versions of our home page that compliment our toolbars - we all have different interests and want different information at hand. Look out for ALOT News, Entertainment, Maps, Weather, Music, Sports, Recipes, and Reference home pages and many more!
What features are available with ALOT Home?
ALOT Home gives you easy access to the best of the internet such as breaking news, local weather, recipes, and games along with the Google powered ALOT search box. You can customize the page anyway you like to create the home page that best suits you.
Is ALOT Home Free?
Yes!
How did I get ALOT Home?
You most likely got ALOT Home by downloading an ALOT Toolbar. While installing the toolbar, an option was presented to have home.alot.com set as your default home page. Leaving this option checked in the installation process will set your home page to ALOT Home.
How do I add/remove/move content?
To add content, click on the “Add content” link 
, on the upper left side of the page. You can browse the content by clicking on a category and using the navigation arrows. Once you find something you’d like to add, simply click on the “Add Me!” button next to the desired content. The added content will then appear at the top of the first column. Continue adding as desired and click on the Close button 
to exit the “Add content” area.
To remove content, move your mouse cursor to the top of the content box you wish to remove (where the title resides i.e. Weather). There will be an X button 
to the right of the top of the content box that will turn red when the mouse cursor is on top of it. Clicking this button will remove the content piece from your home page.
To move content, place your mouse cursor over the top of the content box you wish to move until you see 4 arrows. Once you see your mouse cursor turn into 4 arrows, keep your mouse in a persistent click. Move your mouse cursor to the desired location and then release the mouse click. The content will then drop to its new location.
Note: If you delete your browser cookies, the changes you make to ALOT Home will no longer be stored.
How do I edit my preference settings?
If a piece of content contains an “Edit” button 
, then you will be able to change the way the content appears. Preference options can include changing a zip code or address for Weather or Maps & Directions to changing the amount of articles that display for Sports Headlines. Clicking on the button above will take you to a menu where you can specify the changes. Once these changes are made, click “Save Preferences” to have these settings remembered for future visits.
How does ALOT pay the rent?
We make money through advertising. We believe that advertising needs to be informative to ALOT users - after all, we're all about making information easy. And we've put our money where our mouth is. We make our money if you find the information relevant - that's because the majority of our money comes from the revenue we earn when a user clicks on Sponsored Listings. So, we'll earn money if you find the Sponsored Listings relevant to you.

What are ALOT's privacy policies and practices?
We understand that your trust depends on us respecting your privacy and we want you to feel comfortable using ALOT Home. You can read our full privacy policy here. Key highlights for you are:
- We don’t collect personally identifiable information.
- We'll always ask you if you want to set ALOT Home as your homepage first.
- We do use cookies to help track the effectiveness of our marketing campaign. You may disable them through your Internet Explorer settings should you wish.
Of course if you don't want ALOT Home set as your home page, you don't need to - you can search to your heart's content at search.alot.com rather than through ALOT Home.
How do I uninstall ALOT Home?
